CLEP English Composition

Welcome to the English Composition Tests. These tests are grouped into several sections to make your study easier. The sections include the following:

English Composition 1 [41 questions]

- Part one of the English Composition test. Basic English concepts: punctuation, capitalization, dependent & independent clauses, subjects, verbs, nouns, pronouns, and adjectives.

English Composition 2 [34 quetsions]

- Part two of the English Composition test. Concepts include: subject verb agreement, pronouns, pronoun consistency, indefinite pronouns, and past/present/future tense.

English Composition 3 [40 questions]

- Part three of the English Composition test. Concepts include: punctuation, coordinating conjunctions, dependent clauses & independent clauses, parenthetical phrases, interjections, capitalizations, and possessive nouns and pronouns.

English Composition 4 [45 questions]

- Part four of the English Composition test. Concepts include: redundancy, faulty comparisons, parallel construction errors, subject/verb agreement errors, pronoun errors, and misplaced modifiers.

English Composition 5 - Identifying Sentence Errors [24 questions]

- Part five of the English Composition test. Concepts include: conjunction errors, subject/verb agreement, possessive nouns and pronouns, redundancy, independent clauses, tenses, and punctuation.
